BSCW can be run on a server computer at your organization. You may have accounts on several servers, including the public one. You may also have several user names defined on the same server.

At any point in time, your Web browser can represent only one user name on any given BSCW server. Parallel sessions with different user names on one BSCW server are not possible.

However, most Web browsers will allow you to have active sessions on several different BSCW servers simultaneously.

Note:

A transfer of BSCW objects between different servers on which you have active sessions in parallel is possible only via your local computer as a physical relay station. Your clipboards on the different servers are not interconnected, although their icons look identical.
