Advanced Data Structures (3-5 op)

In the second semester in Fall 2007 visiting professor Thomas Naps (University of Wisconsin-Oskosh) gives a special course in software techniques that concentrates on advanced data structures.

Course contents

The course will cover various algorithms in computational geometry, parallel processing and applications of data structures and algorithm design techniques in bioinformatics.

Prerequisites: Programming skills and course T-106.4100 Design and Analysis of Algorithms or equivalent competences.

Schedule

Lectures will be given on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 12-14 at hall T4. The first lecture will be on Wed 7th November.

Requirements: Homework assignments. No examination.

Registration

The number of participants is limited to 20. The participants should send email to naps@uwosh.edu by November 2nd. In the mail they should briefly describe their background and motivation for taking the course.
