4.4.2 Membership administrationIn a workspace with default access rights, members are allowed to invite or remove members -- including themselves. However, inviting additional members to a workspace or excluding members from the use of the shared resources (i. e. "membership administration") may be organized in different ways -- from complete decentralization (every member is allowed to add or remove members) to strict centralization (only the manager of the workspace is allowed to add or remove members). BSCW functionality for membership administration (see section 4.5) and assignment of access rights (see section 4.7) supports any type of organization of this task. |
