Some of the most important information about a BSCW object is mandatory and it is displayed in its entry in a folder page: its name and its BSCW type or MIME type.

In addition, each object may have a description attached to it; each user decides whether this information is shown in the object's entry in a Folder page etc. (see section 3.1.2).

This information may be edited at any time:

• Click  Rename   or  Edit Description   or  Change Type  

to bring up a form that lets you change the name, Description or the MIME type of the object, respectively.
