Organization

TSE-Institute is a joint venture of several laboratories in the Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) of Helsinki University of Technology (HUT). TSE-Institute aims at wide spectrum research in networking and digital media based on its core competencies in mobile computing, network architectures, multimedia, software engineering, usability, protocol engineering, cryptographics, digital signal processing and neural nets. TSE-Institute promotes postgraduate studies in the HECSE graduate school and takes part in the MediaPoli initiative to build a broadband network in the Otaniemi area for large-scale research and experiments in new telecom services and infrastructure.
