3.4.3 Adding a member to a groupYou turn your private folder into a shared workspace by inviting another user as the second "member" -- you are the first member and owner of the workspace.
to trigger this action. By inviting additional members to a shared workspace you enlarge the group of people who may access the workspace and the objects it contains. Before you turn a private folder into a shared workspace, please read chapter 4, in particular sections 4.4 to 4.7. A private folder, a shared workspace or a folder or discussion within a workspace may be made a public workspace by inviting the user anonymous. The File Share Add Member action lets you do this. There is, however, a more convenient way, which also gives you extended control over what anonymous may do in the workspace:
in order to specify the actions that anonymous is allowed to fulfill in the folder. As a default, this will grant him only the right to read everything the folder contains. Section 4.7 explains how to modify the access rights of anonymous and of other members of your workspace. |
